Barn fire - Helinger Road - January 16, 2005
The West Monroe Fire Department responded to a report of a barn fire on Helinger Road early in the morning of Sunday, January 16, 2005. The temperature was 17 degrees, making firefighting more difficult. West Monroe fought the fire with help from the Central Square, Constantia and Hastings fire departments. SOVAC Ambulance stood by at the scene. Over 1100 feet of large diameter hose provided a water source for firefighting, pumped by a Central Square fire department pumper.
