This is our "first out" truck, a 2007 Sutphen engine, delivered to the West Monroe fire department on Thursday, May 10, 2007 and put into service with the department on Tuesday, June 19, 2007.

It is equipped with a Hale QMax 1750 gallon per minute pump, and carries 2000 gallons of water and a 30 gallon Class A foam tank. It is powered by a Caterpillar C13 430 horsepower diesel. It has seating for seven personnel, with four SCBA positions. It has a front suction with low level strainer and 2” discharge, rear 5” intake MIV controlled, side MIVs, three pump primers, a Williams ATP foam system, TFT deck gun and Blitzfire, drop down Zico ladder rack and Port-o-tank racks, Code 3 upper and Whelen lower warning packages, an Onan 10KW hydraulic generator and FRC 1000 watt quartz lights, and 54 feet of Kochek lightweight hard suction hose.

Until June 19, 2007, this was our "first out" engine, and now serves as a backup. The department's first new truck, this 1991 E-One engine on a Spartan chassis has a 1250 GPM pump, and carries 1000 gallons of water. It is powered by a Detroit 60 Series diesel with Allison automatic transmission. It has seating for six, with three SCBA positions. It has 4 1-3/4" preconnects and 1800 feet of 5" supply hose. It carries its own 2000 gallon Port-a-tank. It has 6" suction on all four sides. It also has a Stinger portable deluge gun.

This 3000 gallon tanker was constructed from a new 1996 GMC chassis (Cat diesel and Allison automatic transmission)and a used tank refurbished by the department. It has three 10" dumps, and carries a 3000 gallon Port-a-tank.

This light rescue, based on a 1997 Chevy Suburban, purchased used and refurbished for fire service by the department, Scrimale's Collision and other area businesses, has a V8 gas engine, automatic transmission, and four wheel drive. It seats seven.

A heavy rescue, this truck was purchased new. It is an American LaFrance walk-in rescue body with Robinson roll-up doors on a 2001 Freightliner chassis. It is powered by a Cat Diesel with an Allison automatic transmission. Cab and rescue body are both air conditioned, and the rescue body also contains a command table. It seats eleven, with seven of those positions set up for SCBA. It is equipped with a 35 KW generator and a 9000 watt Wilburt light tower. It has a front-mounted 12000 lb winch, and has preconnected air for the air bags it carries. It also has a preconnected Holmatro rescue tool.

The department's grass and brush truck, purchased used, is based on a four wheel drive 1954 Dodge Army surplus truck. It has a four cylinder gas engine and a four speed manual transmission. It carries 150 gallons of water and 400' of forestry hose. The truck is equipped with two Yamaha 265 gpm pumps with one preconnected line; four back pack tanks, a chain saw, and various hand tools.

The department's air boat, used for water and ice rescues, was purchased new in 2001. A Rivercraft air boat, it is powered by a 120 HP Hirth aircraft engine. It has four seats and a mounted backboard, and is GPS and depthfinder equipped.
